Siemens Siadis Inverter Software

Designed to run on 1990's hardware. Doesn't run well on modern hardware.

Tried qemu -serial /dev/ttyS0 c.img with freedos on my laptop (a Dell Latitude C400 running Ubuntu Jaunty, Linux lockbook 2.6.30-020630-generic #020630 SMP Wed Jun 10 09:45:40 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux). Siadis works, but locks up as soon as you turn on the inverter, while receiving data:

Tried

sudo setserial /dev/ttyS0 low_latency
sudo setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart 8250
sudo setserial /dev/ttyS0 close_delay 1
sudo setserial /dev/ttyS0 closing_wait 1
sudo setserial /dev/ttyS0 -a

The fifo1.exe, fifo2.exe & fifo3.exe programs distributed with siadis do not make any difference.
